I am Mellow Muse, the silent affiliate.
Sales and marketing fascinate me—not the loud, pushy kind, but the quiet kind where trust is built slowly. For me, affiliate marketing is not just passive income; it’s a way to learn how products are sold, how loyalty is built, and how honesty creates long-term relationships.
I have a circle of friends who are influencers—glamour-loving, makeup-addicted humans. Whenever a new product launches, they’re the first to buy it, test it, wear it, and talk about it. We were TikTokers once, creating content together, laughing, experimenting, and figuring out our place in the digital world.
That’s when I realised—I was the odd one out.
I don’t like makeup.
I believe that a human who drinks enough water, exercises regularly, stays physically active, maintains good hygiene, and takes care of themselves both inside and outside already looks good. To me, basic personal care and inner cleanliness matter more than expensive cosmetics.
I still remember those days—my friends spending three hours doing makeup for a 30-second video, while I sat there in my pyjamas, bare-faced, completely unbothered. On video calls, they would scream, “Please do some makeup!”
And honestly? I just felt lazy.
Makeup never excited me.
Art did.
So I moved away from being a TikToker to becoming a DIY and arts-and-crafts creator. Origami has been part of my life since I was seven years old, and returning to it felt like coming home. While I followed my passion, I quietly watched my friends grow—from bloggers to TikTokers, vloggers, reel creators, collaborators, brand promoters, successful influencers, and models. Two of them even started their own companies.
We are different from the world in our own ways, yet our friendship stayed intact—stronger, closer, deeper. I still sit with them during gossip sessions. They talk openly about collaborations, how brands approach them, what’s real, what’s fake, what they love, and what they absolutely hate.
And that’s where my journey takes a turn.
Why I Chose the Path of the Silent Affiliate
Here’s the truth:
I am not promoting anything just because someone is paying me.
I will quietly collect real opinions from my friends—their unfiltered experiences, the truths behind the ads, the lies hidden in promotions, and the products that actually work versus those that don’t.
I will share only what is genuinely useful.
My friends belong to the glamour world, and I respect their hustle. Through them, I get access to honest insights most people never hear. I will bring those truths to my blog—not as paid promotions, but as real information for real people.
